Just from reading the plot you can tell it has a complete different story. Apparently Renton and Eureka grow up together in this movie. Whereas in the t.v. series they just meet at the start of the anime.

yeah I was whatching it until the video limit happened...but man its AWSOME!!! i loved the series, but this movie is better I think.

the movie is so short compared to the series and somehow they made it more complex. i think that it was ok but prefer the series much more. also check out the manga it is also a different telling of eureka seven but starts out more like the actual series and then changes direction.

the movie just basically says well renton and eureka love each other and then we will use the rest of the same characters but have none of there personalities or stories the same. I felt the movie does little justice to the original series and is more of a skip then must see.

Besides Eureka looked good with longer hair.

If it's anything like this I definitely won't like it as much as the series. I liked all the characters in Eureka 7, plus the whole thing was pretty epic.

yeah he's evil but I liked the Renten and Eureka changes

I liked Renton's change, disliked Eureka's and hated Hap's It was a good movie, although I preferred the ending to the anime.....

I actually saw this at the movies for that one night only event and I loved it. I had just finished watching the anime for like the third time and this seemed like it could almost be a prequel to the series.
